As a Leader in Me Lighthouse school, we showcase international best educational practice to cater to the needs of our diverse community. Educating and preparing young children to succeed in a world that is rapidly changing empowers a school community to work collaboratively together to nurture and develop every child’s knowledge, skills, understandings and aspirations to actively contribute as confident and successful global citizens and leaders.
At Seven Hills West Public School, we provide a dynamic and stimulating learning environment, where literacy, numeracy, global capabilities and all key curriculum areas are prioritised. We take pride in delivering quality teaching and learning that encourages every child to succeed. Our school context is unique in that we have Preschool, 5 Support Classes and K-6 mainstream classes. Students for the Support Unit classes are selected through regional placement panels.
Our students have access to a wide range of specialist subjects including music, art, physical education, sport, library and information technology. All classrooms are well-equipped with computers and software to enhance student learning. In addition, our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of enrichment activities including swimming programs, camps and excursions, school choir, sports activities, University of NSW competitions and student leadership initiatives.
Our school has a very active and supportive parents and citizens' association. Members of our school community are extremely active in supporting our school initiatives and student learning projects.
Our skilled and dedicated teachers work in professional teams to design exciting, challenging and innovative learning experiences to reach children who learn in different ways and rates, as they become responsible for themselves and each other.
Our school community respects individual differences and celebrates diversity. Our school Seven Hills West Public School is more than a school; we are a learning community where every person contributes to the learning aspirations of our young children.
